Father's day card for my Dad

Hello!

At last i've managed to get my last Father's day card done for my dear ol' dad! from the 3 of us(I'm not saying old caus' he aint at 52!LOL) anyways..... I bought the ever so cute digi from Some Odd Girl and as soon as i saw it i thought of me and dad granted when i was younger i was a very much a daddy's girl helping my dad tinker about with lorries and generally doing boy things rather than girly things it explains a lot why i'm not really girly LOL omg what am i like today i'm going off on one and sticking to the plan!LOL I've gone for 'we nutty heart u dad' as i thought i would keep in the squriel theme and it's a bit different from the normal father's day setiments too and whilst i was thinking outside the box i thought 'heck why not do a obscure shaped card?' and here you go!

Recipe:

Papermania - Cardstock and Hampstead glazed and glittered papers (yummy sparklies!)
Digi - Some Odd Girl - Squirelle Love
Brads, Scrabble Letters (i thought of these as they look like wood you know where squirrels live.... LOL) and Heart from stash
Promarkers - Caramel and Denim Blue (2 Colours you say is that all?! Yes i am learning the way of the promarker!)

I'm entering the following challenges too:

Creative Craft Challenge 4 - The Man in your Life

Cupcake Craft Challenge 95 - One for the Boys

Fab n Funky Challenge 28 - Just for Dad

Polkadoodles Challenge Week 24 - Father's Day/Male Theme

Some Odd Girl Stash Challenge 4 - Make it Shimmer (used glazed and glittered papers to give a subtle effect without being girly!LOL hopefully you can tell by my photo! The light is no good today in my house!)

Hopefully my dad will like it, its definitely not the 'norm' of a father's day card but then i'm not them norm either!

Hope everyone is ok and i'm looking forward to going out for my tea with the family yum yum!

Sal xx

  8. What a good idea using the papers for shimmer instead of adding actual glitter- that way it doesn't make it too 'girly' for your dad!! :) Great job!!!!!
